What is Literature?

Literature is a representation of life itself.
lifein it's multiple facets, activities, moods, revelations, and even surprises.
For me, Literature is designed not just to present reality to one person.
More basic is its purpose to affect one person or change on person; to enable
one to feel deeply; to feed the human yearning to understand; and to move one person to
take action.

Literature affects anything and everything.
Literature gives a sense of perception wherein one can find answers and have a sense of direction.
Literature is a broad spectrum of what people have, even the world we live in now.
As to what i have mentioned, it's broadness gave life and if educated everything. Have you ever taught that if literature never existed, would everything be in it's own place and order? as a testimony, try to relate almost everything to literature. One good example is our modern living nowadays. See, if would ask me, how would i relate it to our life today? That's simple, There would be no modernization from where we are now.
Literature have been and will always be a foundation, that carried out lifetime education which exists until now. It's inspired and influenced us in every possible way and every aspect.

Literature, even as broad as it is, will be always there. There will be something new everyday.
It would excite and fascinate you in every way. It is like inviting you to experience and explore an entirely new adventure. Literature, as we all know, it involves cross-cultural experience and education; a venture into the larger world of international realities - old or new.
It is challenging, complex, interesting, confusing, enlightening even frightening.

Literature introduces for us the diverse cultures, lifestyles, customs, traditions, and ways of the people inhabiting the countries around us; their social organizations, the old folk arts and crafts, their different religions, racial characteristics, the dreams and aspirations.

Learning literature means knowing the similarities and differences between these other cultures that would help us all understand more fully.
Literature will help us empathize with our social, economic, and cultural development.

As a student, like myself, literature led me to immerse myself completely in where i am now belong to - the adolescent world. I've learned to know myself better, to analyze, to comprehend and to accept the fullness of my state of adolescence.
Now, I can somehow say that i have acquired certain degree of maturity which has prepared me, for this time, to step beyond my personal, emotional, social, intellectual, and cultural boundaries in the heretofore unknown but modes, beckoning would outside myself.

Everything that i have mentioned, for those who never saw beyond what literature is?
These has been the great and undying role of literature to our society, to our lives and to us. :)
